Forest Essentials Hand Pounded Organic Fruit Scrub Review

_DSC4257_edit1

I do realize that there are already a million reviews available for this product but being an ardent fan of Forest Essentials and its products, I cannot really resist writing this one down.

Forest Essentials is a luxurious ayurvedic brand which claims its products to be 100% natural and free from animal testing. All of it’s products that I have used so far couldn’t be closer to being natural. While that’s what their tagline says “If you cannot eat it, do not use it on your skin“, I actually can eat all of their products, they smell delicious!

Product Description

Derived from the unique Fal Yukth Gharshan Lep, this facial scrub uses a variety of fruit with exfoliating properties along with other natural plant extracts.

Hand-pounded to the right consistency, blends fresh organically grown Dates, Peaches and Almond seeds with rich Apricot Kernel oil, pure Honey and finely milled Almonds to gently exfoliate dull cells, revealing a beautifully polished and glowing complexion.

Packaging and Texture

Product comes in a luxurious glass jar with golden cap giving it a tight grip. The packaging is very convenient for usage as it is easy to scoop out the required amount from it without any of it going wasted due to spills.  Although I prefer carrying exfoliating cleansers instead of scrubs while travelling, it’s sample pack would be a better choice to carry if you must . The texture is pretty dense and works best on wet face. I like to mix it with some rose water for easy application and exfoliating effect. The scrub particles are neither on soft nor on the hard side. The fragrance is organic, somewhat close to rose petals but not exactly rose. It might not appeal good to everyone but for me it’s very good!

My Views

Like I mentioned above, I mix this scrub with some rose water and use on my face and neck in circular motions. I like to keep it on my face for 5 minutes before finally washing it off (makes me feel it worked better ;)). I totally love the effect it leaves on my skin. My face looks so refreshed, radiant and clean. It is one of those products where you do not have to wait for second or third application for the results to kick in. You can notice the difference right after first use. I have normal to dry skin and my skin feels nourished and beautiful with this product. It works well in removing the dead skin and unclogging the pores. I specifically use this product when I have a party ahead on my schedule. This is one of the finest scrubs I have used so far and I am about to finish my second bottle. No points in guessing that I am sure to buy third one too.

While it might seem little pricey as it comes 50 gms for 1795 INR but a little goes a long way and for the kind of results it gives, I wouldn’t be worried about the price that much.

In a nutshell, it does what it claims!

I hope this review comes handy for those who are in process of buying this product for the first time. If anyone out there has used this scrub before, do share your views, we would love to know.

V, be sure you give it a try love!

  1. Now that’s exactly my kind of scrub! I love to use products that are as natural as possible, especially on my face, and I love the fact you mix it with rosewater and keep it on a bit before rinsing.
